Appreciate Mr Sprinkler Repair sending over a technician the day I called. Also appreciate the fact that the technician was flexible in timing allowing me the opportunity to get home from my work. As I expected the repair was quickly made. My only criticism of the technician is that without my prompting, he would not have tested the repair to ensure all was working as designed. Couple points regarding your business practices: 1) More and more companies are waiving the service fees if the customer agrees to move forward with the work. For a 15 min job, this cost me $252, which included the service fee and had a cash discount. I found this expensive as the bonnet and poppet part is typically less than $25. 2) I appreciate offering a discount for cash, but the fact that you do not accept debit cards is a bit perplexing in this day and age. Most people do not have hundreds of dollars in their wallets these days. Debit cards or Zelle/ Venmo/ PayPal/ Apple Pay are all viable like-cash options that have either no or minimal fees for businesses and make it simple for customers to pay in cash so you can avoid the credit card transaction fees. If fact, I was actually floored when I was told if I pay cash, I get a discount; if I pay with credit you will charge me 3.5% more. This is ridiculous. Build this into your pricing and give your customers ways to pay by cash that do not require green-backs. Because of these 2 items, I likely will call another company first before I reach out to Mr Sprinkler again.
