Matthias was on-time, as he always is. He cleaned our fireplace earlier this year. He was here to inspect our fireplace as we noticed a little rust on our fireplace tray and cast iron grate. We wanted to ensure there was no issue with the brick. Upon completion of the inspection Matthias stated all looked good. Water got in due to the heavy wind and rain we recently had. He mentioned installing a new damper as a solution. He completed the installation in a timely manner. It is definitely a little different using the new one but it seems like a great product. Matthias was patient in showing us how the new damper works, which was greatly appreciated. Matthias was friendly, helpful, and professional. He did an excellent job and his work and assistance is always wonderful. It is always a positive experience dealing with Matthias. Many thanks to him and all of 2nd Generation Chimney employees. We've been customers for over 20 years now and there is a reason for that. They are great to deal with, easy to contact and timely in scheduling appointments.
