Changing a problematic inverter control board on a Lennox heat pump system under manufacture warranty. Current board is giving excessive inverter alarms.
This morning, I diagnosed and repaired a malfunctioning Concord 16 SEER heat pump system at a local residence. The homeowner reported the unit was not providing adequate cooling. Upon inspection, I found that the wiring between the outdoor condensing unit and the indoor air handler had become disconnected at the programmable zone thermostat. I carefully traced the circuit, reinstated the proper low-voltage connections, and verified continuity throughout the control system. I then tested the heat pump in both heating and cooling modes to confirm full functionality had been restored. The homeowner is now enjoying reliable climate control.
Earlier this week, I installed a new Rheem water heater at a local residence. The homeowner's previous unit had failed, necessitating its replacement. I began by safely disconnecting and removing the old water heater. I then ran new 3/4-inch PEX supply lines and installed the new Rheem, securely anchoring it to the wall. I connected the water lines, installed a temperature and pressure relief valve, and restored electrical power. I also programmed the heater's integrated control module to the homeowner's desired settings. The residence now has reliable hot water delivery.
Responded to a complaint of a foul odor emanating from the system. Conducted a thorough inspection to pinpoint the source of the smell. Discovered mold and mildew buildup within the ductwork. Proceeded to clean and sanitize the ducts to eliminate the odor. Advised the homeowner on measures to maintain cleanliness and prevent future odor issues in the system.
Replaced furnace thermocouple and did system checkouts.
