Furnace Repair: Upon arrival Furnace was in hard 1 hour lock out (Green and Red LED alternating flash). Began testing sequence of operations. No glow from the Ignitor after draft inducer prompted. Gas flowed and shut off due to lack of flame. Tested Ohms on Ignitor To find Open Line/ Burnt out. Tested voltage from the control board to the Ignitor to confirm proper voltage of 121v. Reccomend replacing the Ignitor to complete the furnace Maintenance. Reaching out to the office for a quote on a new Ignitor.

Lennox condensing boiler maintenance. Client reported intermittent heat from hot water taps. Performed full maintenance including cleaning the boiler and heat exchanger. Attempted to remove the water inlet filter but stopped to avoid damage—recommend having a replacement filter on hand if removal is required. Diagnostics suggest the domestic hot water flow sensor may be the cause, but this cannot be guaranteed; other issues such as scale buildup in the heat exchanger may also contribute. At time of testing, both space heating and DHW were operating normally and all readings were within manufacturer specifications. We will reach out with estimate

20-year-old Bryant modulating furnace. No-heat call due to failed ECM inducer motor. Strong electrical smell present; confirmed correct voltage and found the inducer motor fully failed. No history of maintenance, and due to age we cannot guarantee additional issues won’t arise. Furnace is past its lifespan. Replacement is highly recommended. Estimate request has been submitted and we will be in touch shortly with replacement options.

No-heat call on 2016 Goodman single-stage furnace. Inducer was cycling on and off. Drain system was partially clogged. Performed diagnosis, took manometer readings (all in proper range), cleaned the drain and flame sensor, and tested operation. Furnace started and ran normally afterward. Since pressures were in range, this indicates the pressure switches are likely beginning to fail intermittently. System operating within spec at this time. Recommend annual maintenance.

Inspected wiring to confirm secure connections and overall safety. Cleaned and polished the viewing glass using a specialized fireplace glass cleaner for optimal clarity. Conducted a detailed cleaning of the pilot assembly to ensure reliable performance. Reached out to the office to see if we can find a new grate and base refractory.

Performed Comfort Club maintenance on the air handler/water-coil system and inspected the Rinnai tankless that feeds the coil. System is from 2011 and in fair condition. Blower wheel and blower section is clean. Older hydronic piping noted but still in fair shape with no leaks. Verified full heat cycle, temperature rise, and safeties. Tankless operating normally with no error codes. System running properly at this time.

Work Performed: Returned for a recurring no-heat call on a furnace with ongoing nuisance flame rollout switch tripping. After extensive testing, I found that when the gas valve was turned off, the furnace would occasionally backfire, and at times the gas valve did not close fully. This caused the burner flames to continue “candling” inside the cabinet, heating up the rollout switch and causing it to trip. Diagnosis: The gas valve is failing internally and is not sealing properly. This is causing delayed shutdown, candling flames, and intermittent backfire — all of which can trigger flame rollout safety devices. Recommendation: The gas valve must be replaced and properly set up and adjusted after installation to ensure safe and stable furnace operation.

Work Performed: Replaced client-supplied carbon filter. Supplied and installed a new Lennox UV bulb and Lennox photocatalytic cartridge to restore optimal air purification performance. Also replaced the existing thermostat and set up a new Honeywell thermostat, confirming proper system operation and calibration. Results: All components are installed and functioning correctly.
