We had a technician tech named Shalik come to our home from Evans heating & cooling. He not only was very professional, but he could not have been more helpful. He not only cleaned and checked our furnace as well as putting in a new filter but when I mentioned I was having a problem with my air exchange unit he checked it out thoroughly, showed me a small break in a tube that he repaired than set up its thermostat so that the fan was not running so often & making the house feel cold. It’s much more comfortable. I definitely recommend Evans for service on your furnace or air conditioner. They’re awesome…

Work Performed: Returned for a recurring no-heat call on a furnace with ongoing nuisance flame rollout switch tripping. After extensive testing, I found that when the gas valve was turned off, the furnace would occasionally backfire, and at times the gas valve did not close fully. This caused the burner flames to continue “candling” inside the cabinet, heating up the rollout switch and causing it to trip. Diagnosis: The gas valve is failing internally and is not sealing properly. This is causing delayed shutdown, candling flames, and intermittent backfire — all of which can trigger flame rollout safety devices. Recommendation: The gas valve must be replaced and properly set up and adjusted after installation to ensure safe and stable furnace operation.

Work Performed: Follow-up combustion analysis on 2016 Daikin two-stage furnace after previous maintenance. Technician was concerned about higher CO readings during testing. Using a calibrated combustion analyzer, readings were taken and results showed approximately 85 ppm CO and 110 ppm CO air-free. Checked gas pressures, temperature rise, and overall combustion characteristics — all found to be within normal range for this Daikin model. Results: In my experience, these combustion levels are acceptable for this type of Daikin furnace, as Daikin and Goodman models are known to produce slightly higher CO readings while still operating safely and efficiently. Furnace is operating normally at this time and performing well after maintenance. Additional: Estimated client for a new Sensi Wi-Fi thermostat upgrade.
