After getting annoyed at first that we had to replace the gas fireplace in our just purchased house - Salesman Steve was speedy (he really knows his fire stuff) and suggested a budget solution for our situation. Then another Steve the fireplace fitter expert especially came to the house to double check that everything would go smoothly on installation day - he was super friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend this company.

Average, not overly impressed with the time they are taking. 7 hrs on day 1, and 5 hrs on day 2 and they need to come back again for i dont know how long.

I purchased our A/C unit new from Evans and subsequently have it maintained on a regular basis. Today, Jordan (Technician) arrived precisely at the scheduled appointment time. As I previously experienced, he was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He identified the initial problem and made me aware of other contributing factors. The service he provided proved to greatly enhance the cooling efficiency of the unit, making a noticeable difference in comfort, especially on a day when temperatures soared to 32 celsius. Having experienced both sales & service, I highly recommend Evans Heating & Cooling.

No charge visit - ac maintenance visit owed to customer - visit 2 of 2 paid in full , condenser was very well cleaned by customer. Air conditioner dual capacitor was started to lose charge with a reading of 32/4 , installed new 35/5 and tested operation of unit . Unit is operating very well with no issues .
Air conditioning repair Defective capacitor. Unit is under 5 years old. Customer asked to run warranty. Office followed up with manufacture and there is parts warranty until September 2024. Capacitor will be covered under parts warranty. Customer understands there will be a labour charge to replace defective capacitor. Customer approved labour charge Replaced capacitor and tested air conditioning system. System is fully operational.
We installed a new furnace and air conditioner in a residential customer's home. The upgraded system was carefully installed and tested upon completion. The HVAC unit will be reliable for the home year round.
Ac maintenance Unit running well. Tightened fan on condenser as it was a little loose and rattling.
Furnace repair Customer states during the cold months the furnace would be very loud. Warmer days would be a hit or miss. It appears the B stack going straight through the house is making the noise. Customer states they can hear this noise up stairs as well. Vent pipe has some corrosion showing in the basement and customer did state they had water coming down the pipe into the basement at one point. Vent pipe could be falling apart behind the walls. Customer does not want to cut holes in walls to find out. Recommend updating water heater & furnace to high efficiency and capping the chimney vent. Customer did like the idea and would like high efficient furnace quotes.
Furnace & air conditioning maintenance Furnace: Furnace is in good shape. No issues or concerns found. Do recommend replacing furnace filter more frequently. Air conditioning: Air conditioning unit is in great shape. No issues or concerns found.

Fan motor is noisy and drawing higher amps then rating plate calls for. Recommend replacing motor. Office will follow up with replacement quote. Fireplace: Fireplace is in great shape. No issues or concerns found.
AC maintenance and inspection. Upon inspection found capacitor to be low on both the fan and compressor side, after discussing with customer replaced with new call to prevent failure during summer. AC is cooling well at this time and refrigerant levels are good. Compressor makes rattling noise when de-energized at times, does not sound like an urgent issue but it is beginning to show signs of its age. Unit is over 10 years old so a compressor swap is not a recommended fix due to cost of repair opposed to a new system. Other than the rattling noise everything is working well.
Furnace service call , install s30 module . Test and verify thermostat is communicating with furnace and ac . Customer would like thermostat left at 67f and fireplace on as well set to about 65 f . Verified front door is locked and key is back under the front mat .
Furnace maintenance Inspected furnace and found 3 water leaks. Collector box is leaking, exhaust cap is leaking and condensate trap is leaking. Removed venter motor to inspect exhaust baffles and found them to be rusty. Performed a Combustion analysis and the result was 255 PPM. Explained to the customer this furnace will need to be red tagged. Provide furnace repalcement quote due to age.
Fireplace maintenance Fireplace is in great shape. No issues or concerns found. While in the furnace room, noticed the duct work for the furnace is falling apart and not efficient for heating or cooling. Recommend to customer to get supply plenum replaced and increase size, and to replace return. Will follow up with office to provide a quote.
Furnace maintenance Furnace is very loud on start up. Venter motor internal bearings are seizing up. Blower motor is drawing high amperage, more than the rating plate specifications. Inspected heat exchanger with inspection camera and noticed it is very corroded internally. Took clear pictures and showed customer the internal conditions. Provided information what needs to be done to keep furnace running. Customer would like repair quotes vs replacement unit quotes. Did notice water heater water inlet is very corroded and leaking water. Recommend replacing unit before it leaks more. Did make customer aware that the chimney does not have a chimney liner, and would require upgrading the water heater to the power vented Style.
