15-Year-Old Gibson Furnace – No Heat / Flame Dropout Client reported no heat due to the flame dropping out almost immediately. Removed and polished the flame rod and checked all electrical connections. After cleaning, the furnace is operating normally and the flame is holding. Completed a full safety check and diagnosis with no issues noted. Recommended replacing the flame rod as a preventative measure, but cannot guarantee the longevity of other components given the furnace’s age. Client will monitor, and if the issue returns, the flame rod and/or circuit board may need to be replaced.

2x furnace maintenance and inspection. Lennox furnace is in great condition, working safely and efficiently. Found no problems or concerns with this unit. Coleman furnace was not heating when i arrived. Ignitor had failed. Replaced ignitor and tested. Furnace would not successfully light on most attempts, only the first burner would light but flames would not travel down the assembly. Disassembled burner compartment and cleared rust out of burners. Furnace is now consistently lighting on a call for heat. This furnace is older and if it makes it through the winter i strongly recommend considering replacement next fall. Completed maintenance on this furnace after repair was done.

Responded to a no-heat call for a 2023 Weather King single-stage furnace. Client reported that the furnace runs for a while, then stops, and the temperature drops before it runs again. Found the high-temperature limit switch opening during a call for heat; after a few minutes it would open again due to very high temperature. Fan speed was set to low. Combustion analysis showed 250 ppm CO (air-free), which is too high. Checked gas pressure, 3.5 wc-good. Drain was loose and not connected properly; the condensate trap is hanging below and the hose appears too high. This could be contributing to the high combustion readings. Verified furnace level and slope, which are correct. Recommend correcting the drain trap and reconnecting the hose to the existing drain in the room, as well as running piping from the evaporator coil (AC) since water is currently dripping into the crawlspace. Once the drains are corrected, combustion should be retested. If CO readings in flue remain high, further inve
