Findings & Work Performed: Found the pressure switch stuck closed before the call for heat. Removed tubing and discovered a blockage in the pressure switch tubing, specifically at the ports on the inducer motor (photo provided). Cleared the blockage and tested the furnace. Noted that the pressure switch intermittently sticks closed, preventing furnace operation—recommend replacing the pressure switch. Performed a full cleaning and inspection: Removed and cleaned condensate tubing. Inspected and cleaned the flame rod. Conducted combustion analysis. Checked temperature rise and verified all safety functions. Inspected heat exchanger. Furnace is currently operating normally. Additional Recommendations: Suggest flushing the Navien tankless water heater for maintenance. Provided humidifier installation cost estimate.
Previous visit: Disconnected gas stove earlier in the week. Today’s visit: Reconnected gas stove. Tested gas piping for leaks and checked stove function.
Customer complaint: Furnace louder than usual. Upon arrival, identified loud noise coming from the inducer motor. Checked amp draw on the inducer motor and blower motor—found the inducer motor drawing excessive amps and hot to the touch. Advised customer that the inducer motor needs to be replaced. Performed a cleaning and full safety inspection since no prior maintenance had been done. Recommended replacing the flame sensor as well. Noted that the furnace had a new heat exchanger installed in 2016. Performed combustion analysis, confirming the heat exchanger is currently safe. Advised customer that the venting is older (black abs, grandfathered in) and requires yearly inspection. Customer was on a conference call and unable to discuss the option of a new furnace, but advised that given the prior heat exchanger replacement, they should weigh the pros and cons of further repairs vs. replacement. Furnace is safe at this time, but inducer motor replacement is needed.
Furnace Maintenance: Replaced the Humidifer pad #10. Replaced the media filter 16x25x1. Flushed the condensate P-trap and lines to ensure proper drainage. Inspected pressure switch tubing for optimal functionality. Cleaned and polished the flame sensor to enhance performance. Performed diagnostic testing to verify efficient system operation. Stay Warm,
Furnace Maintenance: Sealed collector box second exit with teflon tape to stop the leak. Tightend the condensation gasket. Flushed the condensate lines to ensure proper drainage. Inspected pressure switch tubing for optimal functionality. Humifer is operating well. Cleaned and polished the flame sensor to enhance performance. Performed diagnostic testing to verify efficient system operation. System operating well. Happy Paternity Leave with baby Lucas,

Furnace Maintenance: Addressed ventor motor sound, it is getting old and showing its age, but still operational. Flushed the condensate P-trap and lines to ensure proper drainage. Inspected pressure switch tubing for functionality. Pressure switches are operating correctly. Cleaned and polished the flame sensor to optimize performance. Conducted diagnostic testing, confirming the system is operating efficiently. Suggest plug-in carbon monoxide detector for basement level. Furnace is operating well. Stay warm,
