Amazing service from start to finish!

I had the most amazing experience from Evans. Called them to get a quote on a new AC/Furnace. Richard was out to the house within hours of my call to review my requirements/needs. Measured everything and provided a quote on site. During the review event noted a small issue with my second furnace and fixed it. The install was great! Steve did an a phenomenal job on everything (clean and careful). Treated everything like it was their own home. Would highly recommend Evans Heating & Cooling. My first time using their service but now have a customer for life. Thank you!

Work Performed: Returned for a recurring no-heat call on a furnace with ongoing nuisance flame rollout switch tripping. After extensive testing, I found that when the gas valve was turned off, the furnace would occasionally backfire, and at times the gas valve did not close fully. This caused the burner flames to continue “candling” inside the cabinet, heating up the rollout switch and causing it to trip. Diagnosis: The gas valve is failing internally and is not sealing properly. This is causing delayed shutdown, candling flames, and intermittent backfire — all of which can trigger flame rollout safety devices. Recommendation: The gas valve must be replaced and properly set up and adjusted after installation to ensure safe and stable furnace operation.

Work Performed: Responded to no heat call for 11-year-old Lennox 2-stage furnace showing ignition error. Observed normal ignition sequence, but flame did not consistently reach the flame rod and appeared to “snuff out” during multiple attempts. Inspected burners and orifices, removed gas piping, and cleaned burners—no major concerns found. Tested ignition with burner door off and confirmed successful ignition. Suspected restricted intake due to long vent run with multiple elbows, windy and leaves blowing everywhere. Cut and inspected intake line from inside and blew out the entire intake using a leaf blower to remove possible debris or leaf blockage. Reconnected intake and cycled furnace multiple times under normal conditions—furnace fired and ran smoothly each time. Results: - Furnace ignition now consistent and reliable. - All readings and operation within specifications. - Suspected debris obstruction in intake resolved. - Recommended monitoring performance to ensure
