For ten years now I have used Evan’s to maintain my furnace, air conditioner and water heater. Their home service technicians are first rate, competent, courteous and very patient with their customers. Thank you Evan’s team for the excellent service.
I had the most amazing experience from Evans. Called them to get a quote on a new AC/Furnace. Richard was out to the house within hours of my call to review my requirements/needs. Measured everything and provided a quote on site. During the review event noted a small issue with my second furnace and fixed it. The install was great! Steve did an a phenomenal job on everything (clean and careful). Treated everything like it was their own home. Would highly recommend Evans Heating & Cooling. My first time using their service but now have a customer for life. Thank you!
Everything went well. My experience with Evans was very good and the staff were polite and very professional.
Andrew was punctual, very informative and very personable. An absolute pleasure dealing with Evans Heating & Cooling!
Trevor did a fantastic job. He inspected and serviced to keep our furnace and hot water heater to keep them going strong, and took the time to talk over our options for the future when they eventually give out. He was very personable and easy to talk to.
A decidedly 5-Star experience. Well deserved.
Andrew is a great tech and overall communication from initial office booking to arrival time was impressive.
Andrew arrived early & did two projects flush tankless water heater & checked AC & cleaned fins. All ok Updated us of results much appreciated.
I found Evan’s online and chose based on reviews. Phoned them and Richard came out that afternoon to quote a new furnace / AC / air filtration and gas lines to the stove and BBQ. It was a great experience and he took the time to really understand our needs. The crew showed up on time, used runners to protect the floors and were all over the job getting everything done and done right including fixing a gas leak at our fireplace. Great team to have at the house all day. Amy …. AMY ! She is the Service Manager that worked with me to book the various jobs and she moved heaven and earth to keep their commitment of having the work all done in one day. She is awesome ! A fair price / excellent Lennox equipment and professional technicians that made sure everything was perfect and I was totally happy before leaving. FIRST CLASS
System was previously found low on refrigerant on July 16, when dye and refrigerant were added. Follow-up inspection performed today. No evidence of UV dye detected at this time. Major oil buildup observed at sweat weld joint on suction line into condenser is an indicator of a leak but leak could not be confirmed. UV light and bubble testing performed with no definitive result. No UV dye observed in drain line. Evaporator coil inspection would be labour intensive due to venting removal requirements. Checked system pressures: readings matched those taken by Trevor on July 16 (superheat measured at 18). Recommendation: Return in the spring for recheck. If system is found low on refrigerant, perform a second search for UV dye or recover refrigerant and complete a pressure test to pinpoint the leak. Client agreed this is the best course of action and will monitor the performance of the air conditioner for now.

Furnace and Heat Pump Installation
Work Performed Responded to no hot water call. Found water heater attempting to ignite but shutting down immediately. Removed burner tray, cleaned flame rod and igniter assembly. Noticed insulation around unit was wet. Spoke with homeowner’s father who explained a nearby water hose had burst, spraying water onto the water heater. Determined the water damage was likely causing grounding/connection issues with the Intelli-Vent gas valve. Replaced ground rod and ensured proper grounding. Removed wet insulation and advised client to leave side panel open to allow drying. Recommended use of a dehumidifier to speed up the process. Tested system through four on/off cycles to confirm ignition and shutdown sequences. Results Water heater successfully ignited and cycled on and off multiple times. Gas valve shut down properly on its own, with no signs of sticking, overpressure, or overheating. No water dripping observed from pressure relief valve. Cannot guarantee this will be a permanent repair
Work Performed Inspected fireplace due to client and insurance concerns regarding soot above the termination. Verified installation against manufacturer specifications and current gas codes. Inspected operation and condition of unit. Results Fireplace installation is to code (termination is 12 inches to unvented soffit, acceptable per manufacturer and gas code). Soot observed above termination is a normal byproduct of operation and can be wiped/cleaned off. Fireplace is operating normally and is in very good condition; client keeps unit well maintained. Blower wheel is seized and requires replacement. Optional: A heat shield can be added on the exhaust to help reduce buildup on the wall. Recommendations Provide estimate for blower wheel replacement. Provide optional estimate for exhaust heat shield.(may not be available)
