Came to a customer’s home today to perform a full water quality check after she was concerned that a “backflow bypass valve” might be redirecting sewer water into her household water lines. I inspected the plumbing system and confirmed there was no cross-connection, bypass valve, or backflow issue sending wastewater into the home’s potable water supply. After completing a detailed onsite water test, I found the home had extremely high chlorine levels in the drinking water. I explained the results to the homeowner and recommended installing a whole-house water filtration system to improve taste, reduce chemical exposure, and protect plumbing fixtures. Provided a professional estimate for filtration and installation before leaving. If you’re experiencing unusual water taste, odor, discoloration, or concerns about your water lines, schedule a water quality inspection today!
