Furnace maintenance in Buford, Georgia. Two systems. Changed filters. Tested mechanical and electrical components, all in good shape. Found gas line drip t’s not up to code, they aren’t long enough. Neither gas line has a gas shut off valve near the furnace and is therefore not up to code. Recommend making gas line t’s longer and adding a gas shut off valve on both gas lines near furnaces. Water safety is code compliant on both systems but neither system has an overflow protection switch. Recommend installing overflow protection switches to help protect furnaces from potential water damage and to serve as a backup to primary water safety switches. Neither system has surge protection, recommend adding on to protect equipment from power surges. Systems are heating at this time.
