No Cooling Call – Goodman Air Conditioner (~2017 Installation, Relocated ~2021) Issue Found: Client reported no cooling from Goodman A/C unit. Upon inspection, found the system completely empty of refrigerant. Began a leak search and discovered that the compressor terminals were leaking refrigerant and that the compressor is burnt out. Isolated the evaporator coil and line set from the condenser – no leaks found on these components, making them suitable for reuse. Assessment & Recommendations: Advised client that compressor replacement is costly and likely not worthwhile given the age and condition of the unit. Recommended full system replacement: Reuse existing line set (which runs through a finished ceiling), to be thoroughly flushed Replace evaporator coil Replace outdoor condenser unit Complete full setup and commissioning of the new system Discussed bracket compatibility – advised that if the new unit differs in size, we can use a pad on top of the existing brackets for support
