Fireplace Service – Not Operating Work Performed: - Responded for a fireplace not operating. Client reported intermittent wall switch issues and that the flame and pilot had gone out previously after about 30 minutes. - Found the gas valve knob set to “Pilot” instead of “On.” Switched the valve to the On position. - Wall switch is no longer controlling the fireplace. Located the toggle switch below the unit, which operates the fireplace normally. - Tested the pilot assembly and thermocouple/thermopile under both load and standby; readings were in a good range. - Ran the fireplace and monitored draft; venting is drafting properly with no blockage or backdraft concerns. - Fireplace operated steadily during testing with no flame drop-out. Recommendations: - If the pilot goes out again, recommend replacing the pilot assembly as the next step. - Client declined a remote kit at this time and will continue using the toggle switch. - Optional: A blower can be added in the future; electrical
