Performed heating maintenance on a 2005 20+ package unit. Filter replaced by HO before visit filter is located in the hallway ceiling. Flushed the condensate drain line. Inspected the unit and verified proper sequence of operation. Checked voltage and amperage readings. Tested for carbon monoxide with no unsafe levels detected. Inspected capacitors; all three capacitors were found to be out of range and rusted creating false contact, and the compressor is over-amping, indicating potential failure. Checked temperature split, which is currently within acceptable range. Cleaned and removed dust buildup from the electrical component compartment and rinsed the unit coil. At the time of service, the system is operating in heating mode, however, the unit is in poor overall condition. Scheduled an appointment to provide an estimate for unit replacement.
