Performed heater tune-up on an American standard heat pump system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the air handler. I used my vacuum to clean out the primary pan and also washed out the outdoor coil. I did find the underside of the indoor coil is dirty. The indoor coil is also rusted and prone to a refrigerant leak in the future. The blower wheel is dirty. The starter relay for the heat kit is pitted. The outdoor starter and fan motor are showing wear and tear as well. No other issues were found. The system is operational at this time.
