Diagnostics found a failed outdoor torque booster. I went over repair options with the homeowner and he chose to have it replaced today. I relaced the torque booster and function checked the system. The system is operating properly at time of departure.

Trip 1 - Diagnostics found that the blower motor has failed. I did verify proper high voltage and low voltage. Presented options for repair and the homeowner has opted to have the blower motor replaced. Will need to leave to pick up new motor from the supply house. Trip 2 – Returned same day with a new blower motor. Replaced motor and cycled the system on to verify proper operation. System operational upon completion of repairs.

Built and installed new supply plenum with damper inside. Added new supports underneath the plenums to prevent same issue from happening again. Sealed all connections of the system with mastic and hardcast. Tested operation of system. Everything is working at completion of service.

Service diagnostic found that the outdoor capacitor had failed. I presented repair options and the homeowner chose to have the capacitor replaced. I replaced the outdoor capacitor and cycled power at the system. Filter was left out to allow the house to cool down faster. The system is operational at this time.

Service diagnostic found that the system was low on refrigerant. I performed a leak check and did not find a leak in the system. Options for repair were presented to the homeowner and he chose to have the system charged with refrigerant and to sign up for maintenance. I added 2.5 lbs of R410A to the system and brought the system up to the manufacturer specification of 8 degrees of sub cooling. The system was running at the completion of service.

Service diagnostic found that the condensation drain line had significant buildup. I checked over the rest of the system and the system was operating normally. Options for repair were presented to the homeowner. He chose to have the drain line cleared. I cleared the condensation drain line and flow tested the drain with two gallons of water. I then function tested the system. The system was running at the completion of service.

Started diagnostics and I found that the outdoor condenser fan motor was spinning backwards. I looked over the condenser’s electrical section and found that the run capacitor was swollen so I tested it and found it has failed when checked against a multimeter. I installed a new run capacitor and cycled power to the system. Checked and verified operation. Washed off the outdoor condenser coil (at no additional charge) and tested temperature difference between return and supply. I checked the 20x25x4 air filter and found it dirty causing an airflow restriction. Everything is working at this time.
