Knowledgeable and trustworthy company

Garner is amazing. We had multiple issues in our new construction home that the builder and their contractors couldn’t and wouldn’t fix. Garner was able to easily diagnose what was wrong and fix everything in a reasonable time and cost. Their staff is amazing, never hesitating to help or answer any questions. We’ve encountered many untrustworthy companies, and it was so refreshing to finally find one that knew exactly what they were doing. They really want to help their customers live in comfort.

Excellent, Friendly Service

I called Garner to make an appointment and they immediately knew who I was and booked the appointment. They showed up right on time and the service was completed thoroughly and quickly. The technician was very friendly and described just what he had done. Later they sent a summary of the visit complete with photos. It was the easiest and most pleasant AC service experience you can have!

Great customer service!

Each technician that came out to my house was very respectful of my time. They worked hard to get my system back up and running, crazy how much we rely on our AC's in Texas. Definitely did a great job!

On arrival, I spoke with the homeowner, and he stated that he noticed his drain line was slightly dirty. I went into the hall closet and found that the water safety switch was tripped. I removed the plunger, and the outdoor unit immediately came on. I turned off the system and removed the water from the float switch. While doing this, I also noticed the drain line was still slightly clogged so I cleared and treated it again. Reset power to system and checked over the outdoor unit. Verified system was operating with a 10°SC and all electrical items were operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. Everything is working at this time.

Performed semiannual maintenance on one straight cool cooling system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Tested and verified all mechanical components were operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. Also removed all vines that had begun to grow into the outdoor unit. Verified all electrical components in the outdoor unit were operating within manufacture range for operation. Everything is working at this time.

Performed semiannual maintenance on one heat pump cooling system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Homeowner changed the filter prior to our arrival. I cleared the drain line and verified that all Stage 3 Breathe Easy systems are on and operating as designed. I found that the outdoor run capacitor has fallen below manufacture range for operation. The HERM side is reading 37 out of 40mfd and the FAN side is reading 2.9 out of 5mfd. I presented my findings to the homeowner, and they decided to have the capacitor replaced today. I installed a new run capacitor and tested the system. Everything is working at this time.

Performed semiannual maintenance on two Carrier Inverter systems. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. Tested and verified all mechanical components were operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. Washed the outdoor condensing coils to help ensure proper heat transfer of the refrigerant. Also, per customer's request, I adjusted the balancing damper for the upstairs living room area to allow for more airflow as they had removed some furniture from the area. Verified everything was operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. Everything is working at this time.

On arrival, homeowner stated that the air coming out of the vents was no longer cool and the house got up to 80°+. I set the thermostat to COOL mode and noticed the lights flickered when I did. I went outside and found that the condenser fan motor was running, and the compressor was not. I removed the run capacitor from the unit and found the capacitor to be reading 2.6mfd out of 45mfd across the HERM terminals. I tested the FAN side and found that to be a reading of 4.8mfd out of 5mfd. Installed a new run capacitor in the system and secured all wiring terminals. Restored high voltage power to system and checked over operations. Verified the electrical amp draw of the compressor and fan motor were within range, along with the refrigerant which was running a 8°SH and a 8°SC. I also found that the refrigerant service valves did not have any caps installed, so I went ahead and placed two new locking R-410A caps onto the unit and ensured the Schrader cores were tightened to spe

Performed semiannual maintenance on one straight electric cool unit. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Tested and verified all mechanical components were operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. I also adjusted the slope of the primary drain line, as it was leaning back towards the indoor coil, which was not allowing for proper condensate drainage to the outside drain exit. No other major issues found.

Service diagnostic found that the drain line is clogged causing water to back up into the safety switch and shut down the condenser unit. Options for repair were presented to the customer, and he chose to have the drain line cleared. I cleared the drain line and flow tested it with water. I then treated the drain line and function checked the system. The system is running at the time of departure.

Performed semiannual maintenance on one straight electric cooling system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Changed out all ceiling return air filters provided by the Bader’s. During the maintenance I found that the outdoor run capacitor has fallen below value: currently reading 52mfd out of 70mfd. I confirmed that all zone dampers are currently operational and that the whole home dehumidifier is running as well. Rinsed off the outdoor condensing coils, as there was some dust build up between the fins. Reset thermostats back to setpoint and verified all other mechanical components were operating within manufacture’s specifications for operation. Everything is working at this time.

Removed the blower assembly and disassembled it. Installed new blower motor and new blower wheel. Reassembled the blower assembly and installed it back into the system. Turned the system on and checked operation. Cleared, flushed and treated the condensate drain line. Allowed the system to run and start cooling the house down before leaving. The system is operating properly at this time.
