Comprehensive Indoor Air Quality Improvement: Installed a whole-home air purification system to reduce allergens and contaminants, creating a healthier living environment.
HVAC System Replacement: Replaced an old HVAC system with a high-efficiency unit to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption.
Performed cooling maintenance on one heat pump system. Checked all electrical, mechanical and performance of the system. I did find that the primary drain line was clogged. I was able to clear the drain line by connecting my vacuum to the drain line outside and used the duct straps to loosen any blockage in the drain at the air handler. I then tested the drain with two gallons of water and confirmed it was draining properly. Both UV lights and the air purifier are on and working properly. No other major issues were found, and the system is operational at this time.
Springtime Air Conditioning Tune-Up: Upon arrival at the client's home, I performed a springtime air conditioning tune-up. I inspected the outdoor unit for debris and cleaned the fins for improved airflow. Additionally, I checked the refrigerant levels and tightened electrical connections to ensure optimal cooling performance throughout the summer.
Performed diagnostic. I found that the primary drain line is clogged, and water has backed up onto the water safety switch. I informed the customer, and he chose to have the drain line cleared. I cleared and treated the drain line and tested the drain with 2 gallons of water. I confirmed the system is now draining properly. System is operational at this time.
Heating System Repair Service: Upon arrival at a property with a malfunctioning heat pump exhibiting erratic behavior, our thorough inspection traced the issue to a faulty reversing valve. We replaced the defective valve, ensuring seamless switching between heating and cooling modes and restoring operational functionality. To maintain ongoing efficiency, we discussed personalized maintenance plans with the homeowner.
Performed heater maintenance on one furnace system. Checked all electrical, mechanical and performance of the system. Replaced filters with customer supplied filters. No major issues were found, and the system is operational at this time. See attached checklist for full tune-up details.
Whole-House Air Purification System Installation: In response to a residential client's desire for improved indoor air quality, I suggested and executed the installation of a comprehensive whole-house air purification system. This involved strategically placing the system to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency in capturing airborne contaminants. The advanced air purification solution not only eliminates dust, allergens, and pollutants but also fosters a healthier living environment. The client now enjoys consistently clean and purified air throughout their home, creating a comfortable and breathable atmosphere.
Performed heat check on an American Standard heat pump system. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. Electric heat strips for auxiliary heating are functional. I ran the system in heating and cooling for several minutes and both are operational. Condenser was cleaned. The condensate drain had a partial clog and had buildup along the entire length of the line. I tested the drain line and found that it was backing up. I used drain treatment to break up the clog and then cleared the drain. I then rechecked the drain with water and the drain is now flowing. Once done, I treated the drain. No other major issues were found, and system was running at the time of departure.
Performed service diagnostic and found that the air handler was not receiving power. The circuit breaker for the air handler on the main panel had failed. Options for repair were presented to the customer and they chose to have the breaker replaced today. The circuit breaker was replaced, and the system was function checked. The system was running at the time of departure.
Performed semiannual maintenance on one cooling system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Verified everything was operating within the manufacture’s specifications for operation. Indoor system drain line cleared and treated. Outside condenser refrigerant pressures within range and condenser cleaned. No major issues were found and system running at time of departure.
Installed new 2.5-ton Carrier straight electric system. Installed a new Ecobee thermostat. Rebuilt and insulated primary drain line and verified drain operation. Installed SS2 and SS3 safety float switches. Built new supply plenum and return plenum and sealed with mastic airlock. Replaced disconnect and whip at the outdoor condensing unit. Installed new disconnect at the indoor unit. Installed new filter dryer, pressure tested the copper line set with nitrogen and pulled a vacuum on the line set. Charged system to factory spec. Replaced return air grille. Electrician ran power to the disconnect and the system is working properly at time of departure
Upon arrival, I noticed that the outdoor system condenser fan motor was not running. Checked all mechanical and electrical components of the outdoor condenser. Found that the capacitor on the fan side is below value. Presented repair options and customer chose to move forward with replacement of the capacitor. Completed repair and system is operational.
Performed the AC tune-up. Cleared and treated drain line. Condenser coils clean. No major issues were found.
Replaced the primary drain pan and secondary drain pan. Reconnected the drain lines and checked operation of the system. Everything is working properly at this time.
