Performed semiannual maintenance on one heat pump system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety Systems. Verified the whole home air purifier system is on and activated. Everything is operating within the manufacture’s specifications for operation. Spoke with homeowner and we renewed the HVAC system maintenance agreement.
Diagnosed clogged drain upon arrival. Recommended moving and replacing SS-2 safety switch and clearing drain line as well as removing water from secondary pan. Customer chose to have repairs done and renew maintenance plan. Repairs completed and system is now operational.
Performed the AC tune-up. While performing the inspection I did find deficiencies with the condenser fan motor and the client chose to have it replaced today. After performing the repair everything is working at this time.
Installed 2-ton Carrier and 4-ton Carrier heat pump systems in closets. Added new disconnects and whips outside. Releveled pad on concrete blocks. Installed new plywood overlays and dropped 2-ton system down in closet. Sealed both chases with duct board and rebuilt drain lines. Added new Ecobee Pro thermostats and verified system operation. Installed two line filter dryers and pressure tested system for extensive leak check. Pulled deep vacuum and weighed in factory charges. Systems operating at this time.
Performed the AC tune-up. While performing the inspection I did find that the Stage 4 Breathe Easy package had failed. I presented the client with her options, and she chose to have it replaced at this time. After installing the new Stage 4 Breathe Easy Package everything is working at this time.
Performed the AC tune-up. While performing the inspection I did find multiple deficiencies with the system. I presented my findings to the client, and they would like to speak with our Comfort Consultant regarding replacement options.
Trip 1 - After performing the diagnostic, I found that the inducer fan motor had completely failed. I called the supply house, and they are trying to source the part. They will contact us once they have the part, and we will contact the client to schedule the repair.
After performing the diagnostic, I found that the compressor was pulling locked rotor amps and tripping the breaker. I presented the customer with her options, and they would like to speak with our Comfort Consultant regarding replacement options. They did not have the credit card to pay me at this time however she informed me that her husband will be home tomorrow and will pay us then.
After performing the diagnostic, I found that the R-22 system was completely empty on refrigerant. I presented the customer with his options, and he informed me that he would like to have our Comfort Consultant come out and give quotes for replacement.
Performed the AC tune up and everything is working at this time.
Found 18-year-old system in poor condition and significant refrigerant leak at heat transfer media coil. Also found undersize large drain pan for air handler with corrosion and several other issues that have been documented. Customer would like to speak with our Comfort Consultant to get quotes on replacing the system.
Installed Carrier Performance Series heat pump system in attic. Added new return plenum and field transitioned to existing trunk. Added new plywood decking and rebuilt drain lines. Added SS-2 and SS-3 safety switches and installed line filter drier. Pressure tested system for extensive leak check and pulled deep vacuum. Installed new Ecobee thermostat and charged system to factory specs. Cleared drain with CO2 and installed surge protection on entire system. Also installed new outside disconnect and indoor attic insulator. System operating at this time.
Performed the heater tune-up and everything is working at this time. Please see attached checklist for full tune-up details.
Repaired thermostat issue by bypassing corroded batteries with new common wire. Also fixed copper penetration where air was leaking. System working properly in both modes.
