Not being an air conditioner repair person I have to take the technician’s word that they did a great job. I thought some of the prices he quoted was way out of the ball park. Thought Mr Torres was a pleasant guy and courteous.
George is the kind of person that we love working with. He is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. If we need more service from the company, this is the person we would like to see come help us.
Performed a heater tune-up. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. I cleared the drain line and tested the condensation pump. I also treated the drain line. The filter was replaced with a customer supplied filter. Surge protection for the air handler and condenser are operational. No major issues were found, and the system is running at the completion of service.
Completed the installation of a heat pump and air handler. Build a new extended supply plenum and return plenum. Rebuilt condensation drain line. Cleared drain line and tested operation. Pressure tested line set and pulled a vacuum. Charged system to proper sub cooling. Installed new disconnect box and all new Seal-Tite. Installed a line set cover. Installed a new Ecobee Pro thermostat. Tested system in all modes and everything is working at this time.
Removed the blower motor on both systems and cleaned them. Reinstalled the blower motors and checked operation. Completed the duct cleaning on all supply and return ducts with the exception of 4 that could not be reached. Cleaned all grilles. Everything working at this time.
Performed semiannual maintenance on two liquid propane furnaces. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. I did note that both systems are running high static pressure above the manufacturer rating. However, due to how the attic was spray foamed after the installation of the HVAC systems, without removing the spray foam lining and cover from the furnaces, there is not much that can be done to help with air pressure relief. I did change out two 16x25x4 air filters at the filter bases. Everything is working at this time. Did reset filter and service reminders on the controllers inside the home.
Performed semiannual maintenance on one heat pump heating system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. Changed out one AprilAire 210 filter that the homeowner provided. Also cleaned and cleared the primary drain line that ties into the downstairs hall bath sink. Added a new fresh layer of JS insecticide at the outdoor unit to help deter ants from getting inside the outdoor unit and damaging electrical components. Verified everything was operating within manufacture specifications for operation. Everything is working at this time. Performed semiannual maintenance on two gas systems. Changed out two AprilAire 413 filters at the furnace filter bases. Adjusted fuel pressures to match the LP furnace capacity. Tested all mechanical components and verified operation, and everything is working at this time.
Indoor Air Purification Installation Service: With the client concerned about poor indoor air quality during the autumn months, I installed a high-efficiency air purification system with a HEPA filter into the HVAC system. This system now removes allergens and airborne particles, ensuring a cleaner, healthier indoor environment.
Performed diagnostic on the system and found that the primary drain line has clogged. This tripped the water safety switch and shut off the outdoor unit. I also found that the outdoor condenser fan motor is showing signs of overheating. I presented my findings to the homeowner, and she chose to have the drain cleared today only. I cleared the drain line and tested it with two gallons of water. I also taped down some insulation on the air handler panel. I wiped down the system and glued the secondary drain back together since it had come apart. I ran the system for 15 minutes and it is now draining properly. System operational.
Air Conditioning Repair Service: I arrived to address poor airflow in a client’s AC unit and discovered a misaligned blower fan. By carefully realigning the fan, I restored proper air circulation, ensuring consistent and efficient cooling performance during the transitional autumn period.
Performed cooling maintenance on two Carrier Infinity systems. Checked all electrical, mechanical and performance of both systems. Cleared the drain line and washed the outdoor coil. I replaced the filters with customer supplied filters and also removed the 1-inch filters. I did find that both blower wheels are dirty, and the majority of the ducts are dirty as well. The air purifier on the system on the right side of the home has failed. The condenser fan motor on the right side is showing signs of overheating. No other major issues found.
Performed AC cool check. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety and performance of the system. The drain line was cleared, and flow tested with two gallons of water. The drain line was then treated. The air handler, evaporator coil and blower wheel are clean. System sterilizers are operational. The blower motor capacitor is below value. The condenser fan motor and contactor are both in good condition. The capacitor for the condenser unit is within value. The refrigerant charge is within factory specifications. The condenser coil was cleaned. Options for repair were presented to the customer, and Shea chose to have the blower motor capacitor replaced. I replaced the blower motor capacitor and function checked the system. The system is running at the time of departure.
Installed Carrier gas system. Installed Ecobee Pro thermostat. Built and installed new supply and return plenums and sealed all connections with mastic air lock. Relocated filter dryer to attic. Installed new secondary drain pan. Rebuilt and insulated drain line. Installed SS3 safety float switch. Cleared drain and verified operation. Replaced disconnect and whip to outdoor system. Pressure tested line set and pulled a vacuum. Weighed in additional refrigerant to meet manufacturers specifications.
HVAC System Repairs: Replaced a faulty start capacitor to resolve startup failures and restore reliable HVAC system operation.
Installed new suction line thermistor at the outdoor unit. Secured all wiring terminals at the control board. Rinsed out the outdoor unit to ensure proper heat transfer of the refrigerant. Reset power to system and checked charge. Everything is working at this time.
