Not being an air conditioner repair person I have to take the technician’s word that they did a great job. I thought some of the prices he quoted was way out of the ball park. Thought Mr Torres was a pleasant guy and courteous.
Performed semiannual maintenance on two Carrier Infinity Systems. Inspected all performance, mechanical and safety systems. Tested and verified everything was operating within manufacturer specifications for operation. No major issues were found. Everything is working at this time.
Spoke with homeowner, he mentioned that the system upstairs was no longer blowing cool air, just recirculating the air already up there. I turned on the system and checked the outdoor condensing unit. I found there was no control voltage at the contactor relay. I was able to narrow down the issue to the high pressure switch being tripped. I reset the switch and the compressor kicked on but the condenser fan motor was not running. I tested and verified that the outdoor run capacitor was still within range across the FAN terminals. I gave the fan blade a push and found it was stuck. I was able to forcefully spin it to get it going and I checked refrigerant charge. Did find refrigerant levels to be extremely low on the system, running with a 1°SC. The fan motor bearings have failed as the blade takes an extreme force to rotate. I presented repair options to homeowner and he chose to replace the condenser fan motor today. Installed new condenser fan motor. Tested the system and
HVAC System Repair Service: During my visit to the client's residence, I diagnosed their HVAC system's startup failures, which were caused by a faulty start capacitor. To restore reliable operation, I promptly replaced the defective capacitor, ensuring smooth and consistent system performance.
Performed semiannual maintenance on two AC systems and inspected all performance, mechanical and safety systems. I found the master bedroom outdoor condenser fan motor to be overheated. I changed out two client supplied AprilAire 413 air filters. No other major issues were found. Everything is working at this time.
Cut out existing flare fittings at the condenser connection. Made new flares and installed new flare fittings. Pressure tested system with nitrogen and pulled vacuum. Disassembled the indoor unit and cleaned all components. Cleaned out the interior of the condenser and the condenser coils. Weighed in factory charge of R-410A. Tested condensation drain with water. Tested heating and cooling operation. Everything is working at this time.
Performed semiannual maintenance on one heat pump cooling system and inspected all performance, mechanical and safety systems. Removed all leaves and debris from base pan of the outdoor unit, and cleaned and washed condenser coils to ensure maximum heat transfer of the refrigerant. Added a drain treatment into the primary drain line to help reduce drain blockages. Changed out the old AprilAire 210 filter with a new client provided one. No major issues found. Everything is working at this time.
AC System Repairs: A homeowner’s AC system was failing to cool effectively. Upon a thorough inspection, I identified a faulty compressor as the cause. I replaced the damaged component, restoring proper refrigerant circulation and overall system functionality. The homeowner now enjoys reliable and efficient cooling.
Performed heater check. Checked electrical, mechanical, safety, and performance of the system. The drain line was cleared and flow tested with two gallons of water. I also treated the drain line. The air filters were replaced with customer supplied filters. No major issues were found, and the system was running at the completion of service.
AC System Repairs: Investigated a homeowner’s cooling concerns and identified a clogged evaporator coil as the cause. Thoroughly cleaned the coil to enhance heat absorption and restore optimal cooling efficiency, ensuring improved comfort for the client.
Performed semiannual maintenance on two gas furnace heating systems. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. I did note while onsite that the inlet fuel pressure to both furnaces was under the minimum requirements. I raised the inlet pressure up and was able to properly adjust the gas manifold pressure of the furnaces to 11inWC to ensure 100% heating capacity. I also changed out both AprilAire filters (213 & 413) at the furnaces, as the main house area furnace filter was becoming dark in color and dirty which was beginning to cause an airflow restriction. Ensured both furnaces were powered back on cycled power prior to leaving. Everything is working at this time.
Performed semiannual maintenance on two propane fired gas furnaces. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. Tested and verified everything was operating within manufacture specifications for operation. Changed out one AprilAire 516 and one AprilAire 213 air filter. Everything is working at this time.
Performed semiannual maintenance on one heat pump heating system. Inspected all Performance, Mechanical and Safety systems. Tested and verified everything was operating within manufacture specifications for operation. I installed one Ecobee Pro thermostat in the downstairs game room. Programmed the thermostat for equipment specs and linked thermostat to mobile device. Everything is working at this time.
Air Conditioning System Repairs: Addressing a homeowner’s concerns about inadequate cooling, we inspected the AC unit and found a damaged condenser coil. We promptly replaced the coil, restored the system’s cooling capacity, and offered guidance on coil maintenance to sustain performance.
Ductwork Repairs: A homeowner experiencing uneven heating reached out for assistance. After a thorough inspection, we found damaged and loose duct connections disrupting airflow. We carefully repaired and sealed the ductwork, resulting in even, consistent heating throughout the home. To help maintain efficiency, we recommended periodic inspections for long-term performance.
