Cooling maintenance on 2009 American Standard rooftop package unit. Changed out 14 x 30 filter located in ceiling cleared all electrical components of dust and debris, verified proper sequence of operation, found starting amps exceeding specifications, recommended installed and tested compressor saver kit, to prevent any further damage to compressor and internal windings, Assist compressor at startup and prolong whatever life may be left of compressor, verified refrigerant levels and took temperature splits and cycled equipment. Cleared condensation line and washed condensing coil. Thermostat checked out OK. With recommended repairs system is now within manufacturer specifications, and cooling and operating properly at this time of service.
