Performed heater tune-up on a Carrier electric heating system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line. I did find the main breaker for the condenser is oversized. It requires a Eaton 2 pole 40amp breaker and currently has a 60A. The outdoor surge protection device has also failed. I presented repair options to the homeowner and she chose to have the surge protection device replaced. I replaced the outdoor surge protection device and cycled power. No other issues were found. The system is operational at this time.
