Completed semiannual maintenance on one system. Upon evaluation of the system, I found that there is no float switch. I also found the contactor to be charred and slightly pitted. No other major issues found. See attached checklist for full tune-up details. I brought my concerns to the homeowner, and he decided to move forward with both repairs. Replaced the contactor and installed a safety float switch. Once repairs were completed, I cycled the system in cooling. The system is operating properly at this time.
