Sam J - arrived to perform a non-club tuneup on a 2008 system. Customer greeted me at the door when I arrived in, began showing me to each piece of equipment and thermostat. Also showed me where the returns were and I left filters for future replacement. I began the service by rinsing off the condenser coil, then allowing it to dry while I serviced the furnace. Went to the furnace and check the blower motor capacitor and then the amperage during operation. Remove the coil door and inspected the evaporator, which does show signs of rust. Began checking components in the condenser. Checked the capacitor and contactor. I then powered up the unit and recorded amperage of the fan motor and compressor. Attached gauges and probes, then calculated superheat and sub cooling. Spoke with the homeowner after completing service and discuss today’s visit.
