For the last couple of years, we have experienced a heating problem. While the furnace heated, it was not running efficiently and heating like it should. During weather in the teens, the system could not maintain an internal temperature of over 60 degrees. This year Mike was our tech and spent extra time examining our system. Initially, he noticed that a vent damper was closed. However, he concluded that the damper was only a minor part of the problem. While his initial exam did not find the problem, he continued to diagnose the furnace. He spent extra time and repeated several tests. He then discovered that the heat package actually had some of the elements not performing properly. After he installed the new parts, the system is working better than it has for years.
