The past couple weeks I had issues with my HVAC system not functioning. A technician diagnosed as a bad ambient temperature sensor and defrost board which ended up being a loose wire at the unit. They also suggested replacing the nest thermostat and have them come out to check to make sure it was hooked up right and functioning as intended. It was checked out and everything was ok (thermostat wiring not checked). Two weeks later the issue returned. The current technician came out, listened to my issue without condemning a thermostat or anything, while doing a complete diagnostic, to find there was a wire at the thermostat that was shorted out due to a break, and another wire in the wrong spot. He was fantastic in explaining the issue and even apologized for the lack of a full check when they were supposed to after I replaced the thermostat. While the issue could have been avoided this technician was great in handling the issue and explaining the resolution.
