Performed annual maintenance on the oil-fired boiler, including replacement of the nozzle, oil filter, and pump strainer. The boiler was heavily sooted; all heat exchanger surfaces were thoroughly brushed and vacuumed. During inspection, it was found that the boiler sections are leaking combustion products. This indicates that the boiler has failed and is no longer safe for operation. The unit was red-tagged and disabled for safety reasons.
