Upon arrival, we documented the damaged ceiling beneath the kitchen. The homeowner explained that only a few drops of water had fallen during the leak and that it was not enough to soak through the comforter on the bed it was dripping onto. They also noted that after vacuuming water from under the sink, the leak immediately stopped. All fittings and valves installed the previous day were inspected and confirmed to be dry with no signs of leakage. The homeowner also verified there were no leaks behind the refrigerator. Attention was then directed to a blue-handled gate valve supplying the toe-kick heater, which was identified as the suspected source of the leak. After actuating the valve, it was confirmed to be leaking rapidly. We tightened the packing nut and cycled the valve multiple times to confirm the leak was fully resolved. In addition, we cleaned the pull-down faucet sediment screen to restore proper water flow at the kitchen faucet.
