On arrival I met with the homeowner. They mentioned that they had noticed their outdoor unit froze up when running the AC. Said the indoor fan motor was not blowing air throughout the vents. He also said he had changed the capacitor on the fan motor. I tested the old capacitor and found it to still be within range for operation. Upon further inspection, I was noticed to indoor fan relay not closing on a call for the indoor fan. I checked the wiring on the back of that thermostat and noticed the fan wire was not plugged in securely. Tightened down fan wire into thermostat and tested operation. Also stripped back old wire to make sure all wires were securely connected into thermostat. In addition, I stripped back old wire of the low voltage connection inside air handler and verified proper connections and color coding. Tested all cooling operation. Everything is working at this time.
