Hot2Cold is a good company. Everyone they sent me over the years has been a high-quality technician with excellent experience knowledge and customer service abilities. They get the job done. Not the cheapest, but it’s Florida and we all need AC working at top notch efficiency. Highly recommended.
Troy was very pleasant and professional. He conducted a comprehensive review of my AC system and made recommendations of future needs.
The service was very professional and thorough. The condenser and coils were cleaned and performance was tested. James Thornsberry is a true professional! Very happy with price.
Tony was on time and knew what he was doing. A/C back up and running perfectly in less than an hour. Would highly recommend Tony and Hot to Cold.
Had a last minute need on a weekend, was here to help in a couple hours, great service.
Customer called us out because half of his house was out of AC. Upon investigation, Troy discovered that there are two systems. There is a 2 ton in a 4 ton system. The 4 ton system had a problem with its capacitor and that’s why I have the house was out of AC. After replacing the capacitor Troy check the other unit to find that the amps on the motor for the smaller unit are showing signs of weakening and potentially could need to be replaced. There was water in the float pan, but there was nothing in the float cup to suggest that it shut off due to flooding. We vacuumed out the condensate and troubleshoot it for potential ice up reasons. Coyle looks very clean and the filter wasn’t dirty enough to constitute icing up. This led me to believe that the motor might be weakening or that if they had a power bump half the system might’ve gotten knocked out, and the compressor was running without the motor, dispersing the air
Replacement of blower motor for air handler. 1/3 HP 1050RPM
Customer called us out because the air conditioner was not keeping up with the temperature that was set by the thermostat. Upon investigation, Troy found that there was a lot of ice buildup on the compressor pipe and also going into the inside with the coil. Upon further investigation, Troy found that there was enough voltage going between the contact switches and the transformers and that the motor was getting a signal to turn on. Motor would turn on and then immediately turn off. It would turn on again and then immediately power back down, so that leads us to believe the motor is shot. Quoted customer out on a new motor he accepted and told him we would install based on availability of parts when that all comes through.
Customer called us out because they were hearing a weird hissing sound coming from the air handler. Upon investigation, Troy found that the motor was not spinning and that there was ice buildup out of the condenser. Upon investigation, Troy found that the motor had blown on the unit. After trying a variety of configurations with the wires and trying to figure out if it was a blown defrost board it turns out that when we put the leads from the blower motor directly to the contactor that the motor failed. Put in for a factory motor replacement under warranty as the unit is only two years old
