Awesome service

This company went above and beyond to diagnose my a/c issue. They came out for a simple thermostat install and it ended up being a lot more complex. James explained everything that was wrong and what needed to be done. I will definitely use this company from now on. John also came out multiple times to help figure out what was wrong.

Today we visited for two purposes. First, it was time for yearly maintenance and second there is an ongoing issue of the unit not keeping up on hot days. We learned the system is performing perfectly according to manufacturer specifications. Refrigerant charge is perfect, the temperature difference is perfect, the ductwork and static pressures are perfect. James completed a heat load and learned the unit is undersized. The existing system is a 3-ton unit and the heat load determined a 3.5 - ton is needed.

This appointment was a phone call to reconnect with Mr. Geller and get back to work on the consistent cooling issue. James will be visiting the home to perform the yearly maintenance and filter change as well as revisit the performance problems.

Location is at the beginning of future dust and mold infestation, imbalance in the ductwork is creating the perfect environment for dust to breed and mold to attach to it, causing the debris we see on the grilles. This would be considered a 3.5/10. To reduce the issue we recommend a duct sanitation which is a non-evasive mist to target and kill mold spores and dust mites. Installing the Reme-Halo's will help with future sanitation of the system. Replacing the Supply Grilles is removing it at the end point. These steps will not remedy the situation but will improve the air quality and slow the progression. Return grilles will not be replaced due to highest contamination being in the supply part of the system.

Recommendation after Annual Maintenance done 2/7/2024 Recommend a pull and clean of all 5 blowers inside air handler side. The squirrel cage on all of them is caked with dust and mold. Need to do as soon as possible due to health issues for customers. Requires heavy duty cleaner!!!!!!! Will need 2 guys to do this since the entire top of unit needs to come off in order to pull the blower. Estimate reflects total for all 5 Units on roof.

A two-stage unit is like having two units in one, a large system for the hot hours of the day and a smaller one for the rest of the time (mornings, evenings, Spring/Fall). This system “shifts” between high and low to deliver a consistent temperature and improved dehumidification.
