Honest and Detailed!

The team at Hot 2 Cold really impressed in their ability to go the extra mile and really assist in diagnosing issues and listening to the customer. After a number of very warm days and constant AC running, I reached out and Brennan worked diligently to review the system, ducts, and insulation to try to determine the cause from my concerns. Ultimately it's hot, but the system is working and is well designed, but that didn't stop Brennan from checking everything before explaining his reasoning. Past experiences with other companies always was an upsell to something new or extra items to prolong the lifespan, but Hot 2 Cold was honest and felt there was nothing to quote unless I wanted it. Breath of fresh air to AC companies and tremendously recommend Hot 2 Cold!

Performed maintenance checked Cap within specs flushed drain line added pan tabs customer said he has an issue with the outside not communicating I checked voltages and turned system on and off twice no error code condenser and air handler both shut off and on properly system is operating and draining properly at this time customer paid $49.00

Today we visited to determine why the home isn’t evenly cooled. Upon arrival the system is not cooling. The unit is uninstalled and pulled away from the home. The ductwork is disconnected and severely damaged. Moving forward the ductwork needs to be replaced, the system reinstalled to code, and a deep cleaning of the unit is required.

Today we visited to perform a system maintenance. The unit is six years old and now working well. The unit was in need of a cleaning. Mechanically the unit is working fine. There is some attention needed inside the air handler an on the supply plenum. The air handler and supply plenum have biological growth and the blower assembly should be removed and cleaned. James completed the maintenance form and sent it to the owner of the home.

Brennan G Today I visited for the system not cooling I confirmed the blower motor had failed. The system is under manufacture parts warranty however the OEM motor is on back order. Hiram elected to have a universal motor installed in its place. I preformed the repairs today and the system is now operational. I offered to install surge protectors and preform a maintenance/ system inspection. Hiram, declined at this time. 1 year warranty on todays repair

Today we visited because the AC stopped working. We learned the unit was properly cycling, but the compressor was not functioning. The unit had a failed dual capacitor. After replacing the faulty part the unit is now running properly.

Brennan G Todays visit was for the emergency pan overflowing. I found the drain line was clogged Preformed chemical flush of the drain, the system is now operating normally 60 day guarantee on todays drain line cleaning.

Brennan G Today I visited to investigate why some of the rooms upstairs are unbalanced and the system seems to be running longer than usual. I determined that this system is configured and operating normally and without major renovations there isn’t anything we could do to make the upstairs more balanced. I suggested leaving the duct system as it is , for this system is operating optimally. I verified both zone damper and the bypass damper are functioning properly. The system is running more due to the summer heat , I was unable to locate any issues with this systems set up.
