A/C was not producing enough cold air. Corey walked up to the A/C and immediately spotted the problem. The condensation drain tube was partially clogged and had caused the compressor to shut down. After a thorough check and cleaning, we were up and running in less than 30 minutes. Corey showed me how to keep ahead of the issue to avoid the problem again. THX to Corey for a great service call!
Tony L. knows his stuff. He’s an honest technician not trying to sell new units. Purely there to repair and make honest recommendations. I can’t say enough positive things about him. I highly recommend Hot2Cold and especially Tony if you can get him.
Performed system maintenance. This unit is ver undersized for the property. It’s a 2 ton to cover 1400 square feet. Customer says it takes a long time for it to get to temperature and their bills are going up.

Tune up special. We discovered the unit is very low on refrigerant, needs about 7-8 pounds. Concern is there is a potential leak, recommending die test to locate. Customers capacitor is malfunctioning, it’s working, but it’s on its way out. Recommending hard start. Also biological growth found on the inside of air handler recommending blower wheel pulling clean, as well as mold, clean up. Customer already has a UV light on the inside of the cabinet. Customer system is over 20 years old, so also putting in estimates for full AC unit replacement.
Today we visited to evaluate the recent installation and confirm the installation is ready for the final mechanical inspection. The machine is running wonderfully and Mr. Florez is happy with its performance. The system is ready for mechanical inspection. Mr. Florez already registered his outside unit, but was having trouble registering the air handler. He also asked for his final paid invoice.
Inverter technology delivers the most efficient and comfortable home. Sometimes called variable speed systems these machines are like having dozens of differently sized a/c units all in one. They have a variable speed compressor that incrementally “throttles” the power being used. Expect even temperatures, low bills, and extraordinary air quality.
Diagnostic blower wheel removal/replacement (warranty) hard start install
Today we visited because the AC unit was leaking water. We learned the old unit was leaking because the P-trap was knocked off when the house was painted. With the trap knocked off the unit was not draining and the float switch was failed. So, the AC continued to run for a few months and the condensation was draining from the bottom of the air handler. Today James removed the bottom portion of the duct board return box, sanitized the subfloor and unit, and replaced the faulty float switch. Greg plans to leave the fan in the ON position and let everything dry out. After it seems dry we will return to the home to determine how to put things back together. Once dry we will be returning to install a secondary pan and water sensor.
This appointment is not complete. The client answered the pre-appointment phone call, but no one answered the door or phone upon arrival. James left a business card on the front door and garage door. Client will need to call and reschedule for whenever he is home.
Today we visited to determine why the AC wasn’t working. Upon arrival the system was running. Carol discovered the issue was the drain line and had the float switch up so the unit would run. James cleaned the drain and ran the unit to verify proper drainage. Carol was not satisfied with the maintenance she received in September and would like another one done properly. James authorized the follow up maintenance and Carol will call in to schedule.
Theater room wasn’t getting air flow. Change speed at blower motor and get at the attic and straight out flex and make sure is not air restriction. And adjust every single room at second floor get the right air flow.
Upon arrival found faulty capacitor 40/5 Replace capacitor unit running also recommend deep maintenance condenser unit impact and drain line Customer decline to treat drain line.
Upon arrival found clogged drain. Shop vacuum added drain solve wait till water drain out. Home owner will call to discuss the bill because we recently installed the unit and drain line.
