I used Schuelke Plumbing to install a new sewer line 3 years ago. I was impressed by the quality of the work at a price that was lower than competitors. Recently, I wanted to think about my water heating system. Chandler came over for a consultation, and he gave me a number of options that expanded my thinking. Customer had a leaking water service located in front of building. In order to perform repair we will need to saw cut and jackhammer concrete to access pipe. Found customer had a broken 2” 45. Removed damaged section and plu,bed in new section with schedule 80 pvc fittings
Customer has large root intrusion in sewer main located in front yard under driveway. Recommended performing repair to avoid further clogs. Once repair is performed we can follow up with camera inspection of rest of sewer main to view condition of pipe. Explained if they needed epoxy lining of sewer main from the repair out towards the city sewer they’d be looking at roughly $6,000-7,500. Once repair and camera inspection is performed we can provide more accurate price.
Both units were clogged and backing up into bathroom. Cleared clog via roof vent. Followed with camera inspection and found that drain had large amounts of scale build up. Recommend installation of mainline cleanout in the front of the two units and perfroming descaling and hydrojetting to clean inside of sewer main to avoid future issues
Customer needs estimate for installation of 6” backflow for fire system. Due to not knowing which direction the lines runs or depth of line it is difficult to provide accurate estimate to perform work. In order to provide accurate estimate we will need to dig and expose the fire line to determine path of travel, material of pipe, as well as o determine what connection, if any we will need to re establish. Once we know these things we can provide a more accurate estimate for installation of backflow. After exposing line we found that the fire line runs under the sidewalk at an angle almost parallel to the existing vault. Line is approximately 3’ deep
Customer had a 50 gallon water heater that was no longer working. Customer wanted a 40 gallon installed instead of a new 50 gallon. Installed a 40 gallon Branford white water heater
Tenants toilet was not draining and backing up. Removed toilet to snake drain and clear clog. Attempted to perform camera inspection but was unable to get camera past turns for toilet. Had to run camera via roof vent. Saw large amounts of toilet paper built up on inside of drains. Was able to flush out toilet paper. If customer continues to have issues with clogs, recommend performing descaling to drain
Performed camera inspection of sewer main via mainline cleanout located in backyard. Ran camera all the way to city sewer and majority of the sewer line appeared to be in good condition. Only area of concern found was approximately 50’ downstream from cleanout where the top of the clay sewer main appeared to be missing. Recommend digging up this section and performing repair to avoid future issues and clogs.
Existing cleanout plug for bathroom sink was damaged and leaking. Removed plug and added new abs plug
Drain stopper for bathtub corroded off puppy system and became lodged in waste and overflow assembly. Attempted several different tactics in attempt to remove obstruction including wrapping a rope around stopper and pulling it up, but the stopper was lodged inside drain and not moving. Only other option is to access waste and overlfow from behind bathtub and replacement waste and overflow.
Customers existing sewer main has failed and is completely miss in the bottom of the pipe. Attempted to perform camera inspection but was unable to do so due to the condition of drain. Recommend digging a large hole in the walk in cooler that will allow us to tunnel under the footing and further expose the drain to inspect which direction the drain travels, as well to attempt to find a good location to connect to. Once location of travel is determined as well as condition we can provide a more accurate estimate for replacement if need be. Was able to tunnel approximately 5’past the footing and found a 4” comby that was leading out towards the front of the building. Removed comby and plumbed in new comby connecting the floor sinks into the sewer main. Although we were able to find a section of pipe that had the bottom in tact i strongly suggest replacement of the sewer main. The existing 4” cast iron we connected to was very brittle. Performed camera inspection of drain line for sinks for kitchen, and found several sections where the bottom of the drain was gone. Ran camera all the wa to walk in freezer and was unable to get past the turn to see if there where any further issues. Unfortunately in this circumstance epoxy linning isn’t a viable option and recommend performing saw cutting and jackhammering of concrete to perform repair. In order to perform repair we will need to jackhammer and expose floor drain where clesnout is located as well as saw cut and jackhammer approximately 10’ in walk in cooler. This estimate is for performing repairs after hours Performed repair as outlined in invoice. Once we got to where the 2” lines drops down into the main we found that the line increased to 4” and 90 towards the unit next door. This section of 4” was completely missing bottom of the pipe.
