Arionna was great at explaining everything and was able to replace two parts on the same day as our tune up.
Arionna is the most kind and caring, knowledgeable AC person, I have ever met! I would definitely recommend her! My AC is back in business!!! Thank you!!
Very friendly and personable. Communicated the issues well. Very thorough.
System is not working properly. This is a separate issue then why I was here the other day. The compressor is now locked up most likely due to damage from being miswired to capacitor. Wouldn’t have known this the other day because it was working properly after cycling a handful of times. Now the compressor is locked up. Emailed pricing and customer is going to talk everything over with family. - Collin
Found incorrect wiring to capacitor. Wired capacitor correctly. Checked pressures, temperatures, and amp draws. All within factory specifications. Replaced filter. System is working and draining properly. - Collin
Found system off on float switch. Drain line clogged. Flushed drain assembly. Checked pressures, temperatures, and amp draws. All within factory specifications. System is working and draining properly. - Collin
Arrived at the home and the homeowner indicated where the units are located. Proceeded to do maintenance. Checked voltages and amps. Cleaned/flushed drain line. Checked refrigerant charge, sight glass was flashing, found it low 1 lb of R410a. Added: jug 320. Additionally, mentioned to the homeowner that there is growth in the air handler cabinet, installed UV light is no longer operational, an Evaporator clean in place, and that the equipment is 8 years old. They are going to remodel home, so will wait on further estimates.
Customer said the last few days the AC climbs to 87°. Performed full system evaluation and unit is running well at this time. 22° delta temp, refrigerant levels are within range, checked all electrical components. There was a tiny amount of water in the primary float switch. The water may have been backing up later in the day causing the unit to not cool. I removed the batteries from the thermostat and explained to the customer that if this goes blank to check the float. I cleared and flushed the line and pump. There may be an intermittent issue that is happening. Possible further diagnosis needed if customer notices any changes. Left system working and in cooling mode. Customer will hold off on membership renewal.
Upon arriving to the home, the homeowner explained to me that he has seen two faults on his thermostat. One fault indicated no voltage while the second fault indicator blower issue. Proceeded to go to the air handler, and pulled out the float switch cover and found water inside. This indicated that the float switch had knocked out the unit due to a backed up drain line. Set up the vacuum to flush & vacuum the drain line in which debris was present in the vacuum. Then continued on checking the rest of the system. The drain line is running horizontally until it exits the ceiling near the corner of the garage then exits outside. Equipment is running as intended. Filters have been changed out by homeowner. Left estimates for the homeowner for him and his wife to look over to decide what it is that they would like to do. One estimate is for the preventative maintenance, second estimate is for search protectors and UV light.
Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival system was tripped on the float switch caused by a clogged drain line. Gave options for a one time flush, preventative maintenance and adjusting the refrigerant charge. Checked all electronics and motor components. Checked filter. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Took amp draws. Tested capacitor Enrolled client into preventative maintenance. Performed the first tune up today. Added 1 pound of 410A
Arrived for maintenance with EAC filter pack. Replaced EAC filter and left box next to the unit. Piston Goodman unit. A Hardstark kit will help give a boost of power upon start up. Checked refrigerant levels, electrical components, temperature, and cleared and flushed the drain line.
Called out today to perform a precision tune up. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly. Replaced client provided filter. Uv bulb is operational. Re-routed oxidizer wire because client expressed concerns of trouble with replacing the filter. Tested float switch. Flushed impacted drain line. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Evaporator coil was clean. Outside I checked refrigerant pressures. System is not charged properly to manufacture specifications. I gave the option to adjust the charge. Capacitor is out of acceptable range. Terminals are charred from lizards. Contactor is pitted at the coil. Took amp draws. Removed the fan and cleaned the coil from the inside out. unable to vacuum drain line as it is connected to the wall. The compressor is pulling high amperage. The condenser is in rough shape between the capacitor, contactor, compressor and coil condition. I gave the option to speak with a comfort advis
Customer had unit installed March 2023. Few months after the unit was installed. The compressor needed to be replaced. Upon arriving the unit was operating. However there was a loud clicking sound coming from the compressor indicating that the barons are damaged inside of the compressor. Compressor needs to be changed out once again. After replacing the compressor for the diagnosis will be needed to try to identify why the constant failure of the compressor.
Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Unit is 30 years old and and rusty coils and interior components. Located the evaporator coil is compacted and not letting air to breathe properly. Needs to be pulled and cleaned properly to letting air breathe into the machine. Located dirty blower motor is caked with dirt and debris and needs to be pulled out and cleaned properly to ensure good air flow. Located the outside condenser unit coil is compacted and not letting air pass thru coil and breathe properly. Strongly recommend new unit replacement due old age equipment and no warranty. The unit is struggling to cooling the house and require repair cleaning will not extend life to this ac system. I have placed an estimate for cleaning old system. Not recommended on 30 yr old ac system.
Membership is due for renewal. Customer is selling the home. Customer was concerned about a loud noise from the outdoor unit. Unit was sounding normal. Checked all electrical components, Freon levels, and delta t. Cleared and flushed the drain line. System is working well and within normal range. Summary: customer mentioned small gap in supply. We can use a foam spray to seal the top of the supply duct. I suggest a UVC germicidal unit for inside the cabinet to help keep it clean and improve indoor air quality. I collected signatures and payment. This job has been completed. Thank you for choosing Total Air!
Customer concerned about unit smells when running cooling. Customer has moved in new home and is concerned about cooling properly. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Checked refrigerant levels and check test start up components. Recommend the pure AirX germicidal uvc light and new oxidation probe to eliminate the odors problem with smell in the home. Pure AirX germicidal uvc will treat the air stream and eliminate biological growth and bacteria. The uvv probe will eliminate the odors and contamination in air flow. I have place an estimate for new membership to help reduce cost on repair and maintenance inspections on ac equipment. Customer has approved for added refrigerant to the condenser unit. And air care membership. Customer has approved for new pure AirX germicidal uvc light and oxidation probe. Installed and pictures taken. Thank you for choosing total air.
Performed maintenance on Nordyne system installed in 2016. Ms Clark moved into the home two years ago and condo was vacant for several years prior. Removed leaves and debris from outdoor unit. Cleared drain line from inside unit due to it running into main drain. Capacitor 12% weak for outdoor fan which will lead to premature motor failure. Recommended to client on replacing the dual capacitor with a Turbo 200 which she opted to move forward with. Indoor and outdoor coils clean at this time. Heat pump operating well and refrigerant good in the system. Applied a $50 gift card bringing the total collected to 218.54 paid with visa. Job complete.
Upon arrival to schedule system maintenance, I was shown to an air handling unit located in the upstairs closet. Space. The homeowner immediately informed me that the system had been off and non-operational for the past month. I switched over to a service call. Upon initial diagnosis of the no cooling/no heating I found the low-voltage fuse to be popped, causing the system to not be able to run in any mode. Started to diagnose the issue and found the wiring for the heater kit to have shorted. The heat kit needs to be replaced to restore, secondary heating to the system. I’m also recommended replacing the thermostat wiring just to avoid any low-voltage shortage issues in the future. Changed out the systems, low-voltage fuse and start the system in the cooling mode. The system is operating in the cooling mode, but upon opening the air handler cabinet. I found very significant amount of oil all over the evaporator coil. Refrigerant leaks with oil. Went outside to verify refrigerant p
