Due to ongoing issues and overall poor condition of WPIV valve Confires recommends the following: Remove existing 6" WPIV from service including the NRS valve in the building downstream of the detector check. After removal of WPIV and NRS valve Confires will install a new 6" OS&Y valve in its place and will install a new OS&Y tamper. This will bring the control valve inside the building and is also compliant with NFPA standards. Customer will be responsible for patching wall where WPIV is and new tamper to be wired by others.

Confirmed appt with Russell 973-420-4260 tech arrival: 8am The following discrepancies were found during your Annual Sprinkler Inspection that needs to be corrected for Compliance: 5 year internal inspection is due on (1) Dry system and must be completed per NFPA 25. Need to perform 5 year FDC Hydro test on (1) FDC per NFPA 25 section 13.7.4. We will pressurize the piping between the FDC connection and the FDC check valve to ensure its integrity. Please note that this test may identify issues and leaks that need additional repair. This quote covers the hydro test only and any issues including but not limited to defective piping, leaks, defective FDC connections, defective FDC checks or defective/leaking fittings will be quoted and repaired separately. Also note this test introduces water into piping that normally is dry and this test is designed to identify weaknesses in the FDC piping.
