On arrival, I found the hard start capacitor failed, not allowing the outdoor compressor to turn on and pump refrigerant throughout the indoor cooling coils. I installed a new hard start assist and tested system. I continued my diagnostic and found the refrigerant levels to be low which caused a drastic reduction in cooling capacity. Spoke with homeowner, he said he would just like to have the system recharged with refrigerant today. I added in R-22 to get the system back up to spec. Verified system was cooling upon departure. Everything is working at this time.
