Trip 1- On arrival, homeowners stated that the indoor unit was making a weird “gargling” noise and they noticed ice buildup on their filter. Removed the blower assembly and found the motor to be seized up. Contacted Carrier for repair parts and ordered a new blower motor. Will return once parts have arrived and repair under Garner A/C’s Warranty. I did recommend the installation of a power surge protector on the indoor air handling unit, to give a first line defense towards high voltage surges at the unit. Trip 2 - Went to install new motor and the motor was so seized to the shaft that it was unremovable from the wheel. Ordered new wheel and housing from Carrier. Wheel is in stock but they have to ship in the housing. Once received, will return to complete repair. Trip 4 - Installed new blower motor, wheel, and housing along with a surge suppressor. Verified system operation. Everything working at correctly at this time.
