Performed heater tune-up on a Carrier heat pump system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the air handler. Secured outdoor compressor wiring and washed the outdoor coil. I did find the outdoor starter is pitted at the contacts. Spoke with the homeowner and he chose to have the starter replaced. I replaced the starter and cycled power at the thermostat. I did notice the outdoor compressor is doing 149 inrush amps. I informed the homeowner and we will monitor the compressor amperage on the following visit. System is operational at this time.
