Service diagnostic found that the thermostat had failed. The thermostat was causing the indoor fan to run non stop. It was also not allowing me to set the fan setting on “auto”. The indoor drain line had build up in it. I also found the outdoor starter was pitted at the the contacts. Spoke with the homeowners and they chose to have the thermostat and starter replaced. I replaced both components and cycled power at the thermostat. Also registered the thermostat and showed homeowner how to navigate the Ecobee app. I then performed heater the tune-up on an American Standard heat pump system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the air handler. No other issues found. Surge protection is working.
