Performed A/C tune-up on a Carrier heat pump system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the air handler. Replaced the outdoor suction line insulation and washed the outdoor coil. I did find the outdoor starter had some pitted mark on the contacts. I spoke with the homeowners and they chose to have it replaced at this time. I replaced the starter and cycled power at the thermostat and function tested the system. No major issues were found. The system is operational at completion of service.
