My questions were answer, installers took care to cover any areas and cleaned up before leaving.
Air balance. Adjusted dampers to increase air in master bath.
I gave estimates to replace the secondary pan P-trap and add a safety switch. The homeowner wanted to clear the condensate and look over the other estimate, possibly wanting to replace the system.
Performed summer tuneup on Trane. Heat pump, split system, system, running within manufacture specifications. Unit is brand new did not find any issues with system or concerns. However, homeowner and I did talk about potentially adding a N rush device to unit to lower the starting amps and help maintain a healthy compressor for years to come. I also gave some history that Trane used to install these from the factory and no longer do unit running at departure with an 80° temperature differential.
The unit had a bad dual capacitor and the outdoor fan motor was over Amping. The case temperature was good at 130°. I replace the capacitor. The unit is operating properly.
The unit was displaying a low charge and the outdoor fan motor was spinning backwards. I found the service ports leaking Freon. I charge the unit back to factory specifications, replace the service valves and caps. I switch the leads for the outdoor fan motor. The unit is operating properly at this time.
