Best HVAC service by far

Ideal Energy had an amazing team from start to finish. Very thorough quoting process with detailed analysis of the home; multiple options all appropriately sized for the needs of the home, and excellent communication and installation. I had 3 other companies quote and the 2nd best was a distant 2nd.

Thank you for using Ideal air conditioning and insulation. I have attached the proposals we spoke about for the plans. The indoor blower motor was not coming on on a call for cooling. I found at the motor. It was not receiving the signal to run. The programming in the thermostat was not sending the green call. I program a thermostat. The unit is now operating from the thermostat properly, I checked the capacitors and a brief overall condition of the system and found the dual capacitor tested bad and was not the proper microfarad for the outdoor fan motor. I installed a 7.5/80 the unit was missing the Freon service port caps I added caps to help ensure the Freon does not leak. The unit is operating properly at this time

Performed maintenance on unit that was installed last year. System running within manufacture specifications. The homeowner and I did speak a bit about airflow and that they were having some issues with one of their rooms. I adjusted a damper to block a little bit of the air going down the front of the house to redirect Air back to the living room. I told them just to monitor it and if it’s still having some issues to call us and we can adjust it some more. In addition to that, I did recommend to homeowner that installing an inrush device. . I told them just to monitor it and if it’s still having some issues to call us and we can adjust it some more. In addition to that, I did recommend a homeowner that installing an inrush device would be beneficial for the longevity of the unit. Otherwise unit in great condition and running at departure.

Perform seasonal maintenance on two split systems and a mini split. Systems running within manufacturer specifications. They all had good temperature differentials and found no issues with system. We had recommended on one of our last visits to do a leak search because I suspected there was a leak, they had their home warranty, come out and do the work on that. However, I did leave estimates for a condensation safety switch on both units and a in rush device. Homeowner said she will talk to her husband about installing the condensation switches, but did tell me to go ahead and install the inrush devices today. All units running at departure.

Preformed maintenance on split system, for the most part unit looks ok, we did some repairs last year that were very beneficial to the system but one of the estimates I left we didn’t do. I’m going to leave the same estimates this time as well. The insulation under the blower is just covered with rust and the secondary drain pain you can see rust where it’s leaking out of the panels of unit.. this means that drain line is backing up and eventually it will get worse and water will come through the ceiling or it will burn up that blower motor. The drain line appears to be clear right now when I put water through it but that doesn’t mean it’s not backing up it might be worth blowing it out with nitrogen after a safety switch is installed. Also, the indoor coil is dirty and I would recommend cleaning that if we want to try to get some more life out of this unit, especially since we’ve already put some money into it. This was also the last visit for the maintenance agreement. I will send es

Preformed winter tune up on gas furnace, system is in good running order. The home is owned by son that wasn’t here so I gave some recommendations to the parents and talked to them for awhile. I suggested being on the maintenance program and the benefits that go along with it especially if you do it twice a year anyway. Also, if pointed out that there’s no condensation safety switch on the furnace. These can prevent a lot of headaches. Unit running at departure.

The unit is displaying a low charge. It needs a leak search. The homeowner is weighing his options. I’m just replacing the system.

Preformed summer tune up on carrier heat pump, system for the most part in good condition but there was some things the homeowner and I spoke about. The contractor is burned and worn and should be replaced, the armorflex is gone from suction line, and a condensation safety switch should be installed. When I went in the attic and took the panel off unit it was overflowing with water because the drain line was backed up. Homeowner just wanted to clear it for now. It was obvious it’s been going on a long time from rust to the insulation being saturated and discolored. There’s a good chance the blower has been pulling moisture in so we will need to monitor it at future tune ups. Also changed filters out and noticed the return grill doesn’t latch without tape. This is dangerous and can be fixed. Unit running at departure with a 21 degree TD. Also cleaned outdoor coil

Arrived to home and preformed maintenance on two gas splits and a mini split. The mini is in good running order and have no recommendations. The larger split has a bad capacitor and we recommend adding a in rush device to lower amp draw as well as a condensation safety switch. According to the chart on unit superheat is where it needs to be. The smaller unit we recommend adding a in rush device and a condensation safety switch as well but this unit was low on charge. It potentially has a leak somewhere. Homeowner is going to get in touch with company that just did a repair relating to a leak and see if it’s the same unit. She said she will contact us after she figures some things out 2 of the 3 units have a healthy TD but the smaller one has 11 degree Td. Signed homeowner up on maintenance plan

I preformed summer tune up on Trane Xbox 19, system running within manufacture specs and found no big issues. Homeowner pointed out that there was a plastic piece on AH that had been taped on and looks broken and keeps coming off from pressure. I sealed it up from back with same piece to block air and told him I would look into getting it fixed if that piece is available and will get back to him. Unit running at departure with a 20 degree Td

Per Alex I came out to add refrigerant, I spoke to customers about situation and checked puron levels. Unit was pretty on point. They had a 22 degree TD at departure. I think they will be fine until install it’s probably a small leak if the other company added puron 2 weeks ago

Arrived to home and found unit was trying to start and could not do too bad dual capacitor. I spoke to homeowner about the importance of maintenance and what happens when capacitors die like that or get out of tolerance. It is not good for the other components in the unit. Suggested to homeowner to install dual capacitor and in rush device and also get on a maintenance program so we can go through the entire unit and clean the outdoor coil that is extremely dirty. unit is running at departure with an 18° temperature differential and recommended to customer to get on the schedule for preventative maintenance for our next available slot.

The unit had a noisy compressor. The unit has been making this noise for the last two years and has had hard time keeping up. The unit is under charged and two service ports are leaking Freon. I charge the unit back up to factory specifications and tested the capacitors. The outdoor fan capacitor tested bad. I replaced it and the service port valves and caps. The unit is operating properly and is running a little quieter and shed quiet down a little more as the unit can return oil to the compressor being fully charged.
