I provided maintenance on Trane equipment and a checkup on Goodman. Both systems are operating well. The Goodman unit could use a good indoor coil clean and seal and insulate return platform to prevent dust and temperature pickup.
I replaced undersized tstat wire for master bedroom unit, I also replaced 45mfd capacitor for main unit. Tested equipment to verify good operation. Systems are functioning fine at this time

I replaced outdoor fan motor and tested equipment. System did not operate. Tracked down low voltage communication error to nest thermostat. Thermostat is faulty. Installed a temp t6 pro and tested, equipment is operating but sub cooling was low for indoor/outdoor temps. Added 1lb of r-410a to get sub cooling to proper level.
Found South 3 1/2 ton outdoor fan motor not functioning. Ordered part through Trane and it should arrive Tuesday. Customer also signed up for platinum Cool home memberships on both systems and would like us to perform one maintenance before summer really kicks in if possible when we do the repair.
03-28-25 I replaced faulty drive on xv20i system and applied rodent proofing to it. Tested equipment in cooling mode, system is now operating as it should. I also installed a rodent proofing kit on the downstairs xv20i outdoor unit.

I found that system was down with a 126 error code. I checked equipment status and found outdoor unit offline. Checked unit and and found cda blank. I verified 240v incoming and tested through drive. Contacted trans tech support and verified the drive has failed. Equipment fell out of manufacturer warranty in 2019. Condenser drive will need to be replaced in order for further testing.
Service call turned into maintenance. After completing wiring repair on North unit I was able to perform cooling inspection on both units. A true soft inrush was installed onto the North unit and 1lb of 410a was added to bring refrigerant level to specifications. On the South unit the outdoor fan capacitor was replaced. Both filter were also replaced, homeowner supplied. Both units cooling well at departure.
Tested equipment and found switch for the gas valve was in the off position, turned on and tested. 80% ss gas furnace is operating fine at this time.
