I provided check up on equipment and verified good operations.
No cool call. Upon arrival system did not respond with demand. With further inspection found bad wire connection, connection is found at the high voltage coming from the external switch into the furnace. Cut bad wire off, stripped and added 2 new wire nuts. Ensured connections were tight. Tested system and is now cooling with a 19 degree split.
Arrived to home Set for cooling Condenser not running Checked voltage 240 good - 24 fail Disconnect T handle broke off - blades fusing together Went to attic Found float switch tripped Drain plugged 100% Disconnect Fuses Trap/clean out
Returned to home Prepped handler Pumped down refrigerant Removed filter drier Installed new filter drier Removed TXV Installed new TXV Pressure tested with nitrogen Evacuated to 510 microns Installed clean outs on drain lines Flushed drains Started system Added refrigerant until gained proper sub cool Temp split/pressures/SC and amps all good *installed customer supplied start kits and capacitors (no warranty)
The capacitor tested bad for the kitchen unit condenser. I replaced the capacitor and verified operations. Both the compressor and outdoor fan motor do not match nameplate they’ve been replaced and they are operating within amperage. The unit is operating properly.
Arrived to home Set all thermostats to cool Tested all furnaces Checked all indoor capacitors Checked all temp splits Checked all condenser capacitors Checked all amps Checked all inrush amps Checked all pressures Found following Garage system: Has restricted TXV - needs to be replaced Has high inrush amps on start Kennel area system: Has low blower capacitor System #3: Has high inrush amps Compressor Capacitor Valves starting to go on compressor - audible chattering from compressor while running System #4: Has high inrush amps All systems: No clean outs on drain lines to flush and clear traps/lines Garage and Kennel: No float switches in place to protect from water leakage
