It was a positive experience. The team was thorough and did a great job!
Arrived to home Checked system Found blower over 50% plugged Blower wheel needs to be cleaned Customer will do himself
The upper coil support was chafing on the unit lid. I added tape to prevent the noise.
I inspected equipment and verified equipment operations. The ac system is operating as it should. I noticed attic insulation is a bit thin, and in certain areas is just batting. The duct run to effected room is in ok condition but there’s multiple capped off runs tied to it. All supply taps on plenum have adjustable dampers. So system can be balanced. Would recommend having one of our home performance experts out to evaluate attic spacing.
I checked over the zoning system. I found the dampers operate properly. I went through the menu on the comfort control. I found that the toggle for applied to all zones was on on, and I selected cooling and went through the zones and found all the zones said cooling except the master bedroom indicated heating. I did a hard Reboot of the thermostat and this problem reappeared. The comfort control is bad.
The west side unit has bad, indoor blower and EEV control boards. They need to be replaced.
Master bedroom is warmer than usual, not maintaining room temp. Verified system had a 20 degree split, the rest of the home is keeping up. Current system has 4 zones. After testing each zones airflow, the amount delivered to the master has been increased by 5%, it is now at a total of 35%. I have explained to the homeowners the adjustments to the settings that are done on today’s visit. I have also explained to him that this can be something we can help on the back end if extra tweaking is needed to dial in airflow output. They will call the office is further assistance is needed. If issue persist and an onsite visit is needed pertaining todays service visit, the fee will cover the xtra visit if same issue. System is cooling at departure.
Unit needs new pump, new hose, and paint repair. Homeowner has touch up paint available. Replaced pump under warranty, corrected float assembly and straitened out kinks in vinyl tubing. Verified drainage with 3ltrs of water. System is draining fine at this time.
Returned and replaced damper motor for master bedroom. Verified operation. The homeowner was worried about the front side of the house is warmer than the main part of the house. I checked the thermostats and actually the main part of the house is displaying 77° and it is actually 75°. Giving, the feeling that walking down the hallway that is 77 that it’s hot

The unit had a bad zone control motor for zone one. The outdoor fan motor is leaking oil and is overheating. This motor is intermittently, shutting down, causing the compressor to overheat and shut down. This chain of events has now damaged the capacitor for the compressor and outdoor fan motor. The unit is suffering from excessively high, starting amperage due to it being a single stage system in a three zone, the compressor needs an in rush device with a compressor delay relay Platinum Cool Home Membership - 1 System Includes two maintenance visits per year Front of the line, priority service over everyone else, guaranteed service within 24 hours Discounted $37 diagnostic fee (versus regular diagnostic fee of $97) No weekend or after hour fees 100% of your protection plan goes toward your future system replacement (capped at $1,500) 10% Discount on any repair work needed $200 Discount on Home Performance upgrades https://www.idealairaz.com/flipbook/cool-home/?page=1
Insulation installation in Queen Creek
I provided check up on equipment and verified good operations.
I adjusted r-22 refrigerant charge and sprayed down outdoor condenser coil. System is operating ok at this time.
Fuse at disconnect popped. Revised all high voltage connections. Found a few loose lugs about a quarter turn, at the main breaker though I did get a couple turns. System operating and cooling at departure. If issue persist I told homeowner to call us back.
