The homeowner experienced turning the system on, and it would click to run and then going to waiting mode for equipment. I checked over the system and all the low-voltage wiring. The contactor coil is starting to fail. Taking an om reading and pushing in the contactor, I found it would go from, 16 ohms down to in some cases .05 ohms losing resistance. This will cause a drop in voltage at the transformer resetting the thermostat. I replaced the contactor. The air handler has water in the secondary pan and the insulation inside the cabinet is wet. the supply Plenum is tapped straight off the end and this will cause higher velocity airflow through the coil making the condensate pan into the cabinet. I gave the homeowner a rough estimate for a replacing the supply Plenum. The unit unit is operating properly at this time for conditions

Pitched units correctly charged, put in accurate cooling blower on high
Mini split is having a hard time to cool down the garage. Appeared to be low on charge. Initial split was about 17. Performed a leak search but did not find any signs of a leak at this time. With further investigation found a very dirty blower. Recommended to clean blower prior to adding charge as it could be a corporate to the issue. After cleaning blower the split improved to a 33 degree split. Verified refrigerant levels one more time. Added .8 oz of 410a and the split is now 40 degrees. So recommended to continue their annual check up so levels can be checked prior to next years summer and verify levels have maintained. Ductless system blower wheel cleaning Disassemble indoor unit and remove blower wheel Clean and rinse indoor blower wheel Removes dirt buildup and improves airflow and capacity R- 410a Adjust Refrigerant level: 1st Pound RECOMMEND LEAK SEARCH BEFORE ADJUSTING REFRIGERANT CHARGE Purge gauges to ensure no non-condensables enter system Use digital scale to weigh in
Spot on ceiling turned out to be a crack from install and not a water spot. I also established first and second stage on equipment and programmed thermostat for 2 stage fan operation. I measured static pressure with restrictive air filter and without. Would recommend using a lesser pleated filter to help keep static pressure within units desired range. Equipment is operating fine at this time.
Arrived to home Checked system Found no 24V going to condenser Went into attic Found Bosch condenser connected to 2005 Carrier coil with 76 piston (should be TXV) No surge protectors in place Overflow pan with standing water No clean out for drain No float switch Reset system Came back on line Temp split fluctuating (due to lack of TXV) Spoke with Ron regarding concerns of system
