I have been in my attic adding Ethernet lines and checking for duct leaks, these guys had to replace a long run duct that collapsed, remove the old unit and reinstall the new unit. They spent the day working away at it and by evening we had cool air flowing in our house again. They cleaned up after themselves and laid down paper and drop cloths to keep our house clean. Great Job.

The outdoor fan motor for the upstairs unit has bad bearings. I replaced the 825 fan motor in the unit is operating properly.

The homeowner had concerns over the performance of the east side unit. I checked over all the components as if I was doing an AC check up and did not find any issues and the unit is operating the factory specifications.
The unit had a blown fuse in the disconnect. I checked over the system for any electrical issues. The capacitor tested good and I did not find any shorted wires or loose connections. I replaced the fuse and checked operations and the unit is running within specifications.

Remove the coil and replaced the inner baffling. The unit is operating properly.
The common wire had shorted to the capacitor run wire for the outdoor fan motor, causing the motor to not operate. I repaired the wires and verified operation. The unit is operating properly at this time.
Performed cooling inspection. No issues found.
Inspection Findings: During the service visit, the air conditioning system was found to be low on refrigerant charge. Upon inspecting the evaporator coil, traces of refrigerant oil were observed, which is a strong indicator of a potential refrigerant leak at or near the evaporator coil. If the customer wishes to proceed, a comprehensive leak detection test (using dye, electronic detector, or pressure test methods) can be performed to verify the source 100%. Due to the unknown duration the system has been operating while low on refrigerant, it is not possible to determine whether the compressor has sustained internal damage at this time. Professional Recommendation: Considering the age of the equipment, the low refrigerant condition, the suspected coil leak, and the potential risk to the compressor, it is recommended to replace the entire A/C system to ensure reliable and efficient operation going forward.
On 2 ton system over open work area, I had found compressor in a bypassing state. I also tested indoor txv and found it to not be operating as it should. Equipment will need a new compressor, txv filter dryer and 5lbs11oz of r-410a in order to operate as it should. System is currently operating but at a lower temperature differential of 11-12 degrees.
