I arrived to bid a 4 ton mobile home air handler with a 4 ton straight air conditioner. I spoke with the tenant and found that they wanted multiple options on repairing or replacing the system. I gave the homeowner 3 options. One repair option and two replacement options. The repair option was a guesstimate to look for a refrigerant leak and repair or replace the evaporator coil and charge the system up to 10 pounds of R22. The two replacement options are to replace the condenser and evaporator coil and clean the blower wheel and use the old furnace. I also bid to replace the complete indoor and outdoor system with a new system. Both replacement options will come with a 10 year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty. The repair option will have a 1 year parts and labor warranty.
