Sam J - I arrived to perform summer service for a blue club member on a recently installed system. Customer met me at the door and was unaware of any issues that need to be addressed. I begin by testing the thermostat operation and starting the service. Power down condenser and cleaned the coil, then checked the components inside the condenser. Moved to the indoor unit and checked the blower motor amperage. Pulled coil door and inspected the evaporator which was clean, and also changed filter. Powered up system and recorded the amperage on the compressor and fan motor. Then I allowed the system to run for several minutes to dry the coil before calculating superheat and sub cooling. Spoke with the homeowner and advised him on today’s visit. System is operating properly and efficiently at this time.
