Duct cleaning inspection for home that homeowner recently purchased and is renovating. Previous residents had smoked in home so homeowner wanted to get nicotine out as best as possible. Inspected ductwork, furnace, blower and thermostat. Spoke with customer and let them know that duct cleanings by themselves rarely completely get rid of nicotine smell. Customer is also going to paint walls with kills paint. I also left and estimate and recommendation to circulate airflow with an ozone generator to remediate the nicotine residue. Today, customer wants to have system tuned up, blower cleaned and ducts cleaned. Duct cleaned 12 supplies and 2 returns with 2-5 passes each. Cleaned and wiped return grills. Customer is replacing supply vents. Sprayed in hospital grade disinfectant spray. Removed blower and cleaned as best as possible from nicotine residue. Replaced blower. Cleaned drain lines out with compressed nitrogen. Washed condenser thoroughly. Checked capacitors, contactor, compressor
