Came out to call for system not keeping up. Customer stated that we were out last month to do a duct cleaning and did some extra cleaning of the blower wheel, and evaporator coil. Customer was concerned that something may have happen due to the cleaning. Told customer that I would do a complimentary check of the system and make sure it’s functioning properly. I inspected attic ductwork, equipment, insulation levels and temperature of attic. All ductwork was attached properly, and nothing had come loose. The system is short on return air, so I recommended customer have another return cut in. The insulation levels need to be raised by at least 7”. Checked over system amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is a 2.5 ton unit on a home that’s close to 1700 sqft with elevated ceilings. Unit is struggling to keep temperature in home consistent due to record heat we’ve been having. Recommended customer upsize unit to a 3 or 3.5 ton system and do the other recommendations I have
