I arrived for a new customer on a new home that is 1-1/2 years old making noise. I spoke with the homeowner and she explained that the noise is not always present but it only happens when the furnace starts up but not before it starts blowing air. I inspected the system in the attic and checked all electrical components and gas pressures. I found all components to be running under it’s normal amp draw but I did find the induced draft motor to be running almost to hot to touch. I made this aware to the homeowner and explained that the longer the system runs in heat can put stress on the motor and can cause it to make noise. The motor is not making noise at this time so I can’t say with 100% confidence that the induced draft motor is making the noise that she is experiencing. I priced to replace the OEM motor under warranty but she decided not to replace it because the system did not make any noise at this time. I cycled the furnace and air conditioner on multiple times and found no othe
