Performing a detailed AC repair today on a system short cycling every few minutes. Found the thermostat located too close to a supply vent, causing rapid cycling. Relocating the stat to a central hallway and adjusting anticipator settings to reduce swing. Also verifying correct system charge and airflow.

Installing a time-release treatment in the evaporator drain pan today. This type of treatment activates when it comes into contact with water and slowly releases EPA-registered antimicrobial agents. It helps prevent biofilm buildup, algae growth, and musty odors—great for keeping the drain line clear and the system running smoothly all season.

I’m troubleshooting a no-cooling issue. Outdoor unit is running but indoor blower isn’t. Found the ECM motor has failed—testing confirmed no rotation despite proper 24V signal. Ordering a replacement module and installing a surge protector to protect future electronics.

Power board is not putting up power to the front board talk to Tech support. They want us to replace the power board and then see if the control board is bad as well. When we replaced the power board, we will be checking all the wires in that area to verify that they weren’t chewed on by the rodent. Replaced power board and checked all wiring inside outdoor unit. Everything started up and ran normally!
